Psychotherapy

I offer individual telehealth psychotherapy appointments so you can attend from anywhere in Colorado.

I believe telehealth therapy offers the best combination of comfort, accessibility, and flexibility.

I ask that you be intentional about attending your appointment in a private and safe space to make the most of our time together.

Concerns Treated

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Substance Use Disorders

  • Bipolar Disorder

  • Support around life changes

Populations

Although I work with a wide variety of folks, I have specialized experience in working with young adults across all aspects of the gender and sexuality spectrums.

I am deeply LGBTQ+ affirming, not simply accepting. Accepting implies tolerance or acknowledgment, while affirming means you will be celebrated, believed and valued by me.

Psychotherapy Vs. Coaching

Psychotherapy and mental health coaching are both valid resources available to you; however there are some key differences to understand in consideration of your care.

I offer Psychotherapy and I do not offer Mental Health Coaching.

Psychotherapy focuses on the Evidence-Based treatment of mental health issues, can be long term, incorporates your past to gain insight into your current day and discusses strategies for moving froward. Psychotherapists can be LPCs, LMFTs, LCSWs, LACs, Psychiatrists and Psychologists. All practitioners have advanced education and regulatory state boards along with specified clinical training.

Mental Health Coaches can offer more solution-focused, goal-oriented support. Coaching can help folks identify personal and professional goals and create plans and strategies to accomplish these goals. There are certificate programs for Mental Health Coaching but there is currently no official regulatory board for this field.

There are no right or wrong answers in navigating these ever-evolving resources. My goal is that you feel informed and confident in your care. If you feel that psychotherapy is the right fit for you or would like to discuss this distinction further, feel free to request a free consultation.

"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."
